I am still debating if I should make a web browser extension or an iPhone app that leverages AR technology. To find out the answer, I created 2 hero images and went back to the interviewees I previously talked to and asked for their feedback.
This is what I showed to them:
They all chose Solution A, the iPhone app with AR technology.
“This solution covers more scenarios. I can scan a billboard on the street. And I can also scan images on my laptop screen.”
“Solution B is so dystopia.COVID will end soon! We will see campaigns in outdoor areas!”
And they all think these images clearly explain the solutions. The Sign-up system is a little confusing though.
Other concerns:
How to make the credits reliable? What if someone takes the credits faster than the real creators?
People might crop your images. To what extension will it still be recognized by AR?
How will the database be stored?
Still, many things to be explored…
